High Falls Gorge & Lake Placid.

Black or White by Michael Jackson

Credits to ISS Plattsburgh for organizing trips for international students, I get to explore more of Plattsburgh and the places around this beautiful town.
Last Saturday (Sept 30th), I joined this trip that brings us up to High Falls Gorge of the Adirondack Mountains at Wilmington. Not quite expensive for such a beautiful scenic place, it cost $15 per person. The scenery along the way there, at the place itself and back are just captivating. My heart skipped beats when I see the beautiful and colorful trees filled the surface of the mountains. Almost every single angle you see, even along the road, the trees were so colorful. There were the yellow, orange, red, green and all the transitions between those colors. The whole place was filled with this calm, relaxed and refreshing ambience. Suddenly, I feel like I can just lie down on the grass and fall asleep just like that.

The waterfall was amazing and magical. Seeing how it slowly develops and create naturally perfect holes like they were drilled were just amazing. I even have chills thinking about it. Mind blown.

Since the tracks at the waterfall was really short, Jaafar, one of the ISS staff and one of the drivers who drove us up, decided to bring us to a nearby village, Lake Placid. This was where the Winter Olympics used to take place at.

The shops along the road was really unique, each having its own design. Some even look like they were fake or like a painting. I really like those shops around. The sight of these shops actually reminded me of those in Amsterdam (Edem and Volendam specifically) and makes me wonder 'why can't Malaysia have special designed shops like those?' #fail

The lake was so lovely and romantic. I love it to the core of my bones.

Dropped by few shops as well including some random apparel shops, shoe shops, souvenir shops, hat shops and also one of the franchise for GAP. Bought a beautiful pink hoodie from there. I love it so much its so comfy and fluffy!! *snuggles snuggles snuggles* :D

Long due and finally, x

Trick or Treat!

Captains and Cruise Ships - Owl City

31st of October was Halloween. That was something that i know from coming to the US.
Yes. I did not know the exact date of Halloween before coming to the US. Just three weeks before Halloween, my RA began to put up some cool stuff decorations along our hallway

Well, there's still some in the bathroom...

Anyways, the highlight of Halloween was all about looking out for awesome costumes to put on for that big day. Well, for some girls, slutty and skimpy costumes despite the numbing cold weather out. Yes. People are this crazy in the US.
Being new here, I wasn't quite into the getting a costume thing. Plus, they cost quite some money and I have already exceeded my budget for the previous and present month. So no costume over there. We went to the mall to hunt for costumes though, and I took some pictures with the possible overpriced stuff that I would like to have.
Elmo for the most of it :)

Too bad Halloween falls on the Monday, or we get to stay up late and enjoy some of the candies that we harvested and chat all night long. It would be fun.
Four hours before heading out for Trick or Treat, I was still indecisive about what I was going to be. I was thinking maybe work on my formal outfit and be a school girl? Or just go straight out like that. It was down to three hours before and I had to get ready for my last class of the day, Critical Reading class with Bryan. When I was tying my hair up into a pony tail, I snapped out of the fog of indecisiveness and decided that I should tie my hair up into a pony tail that hangs down on the right side of my head. I shall be a little girl then!
"So any of you doing anything tonight? Trick or Treating maybe?" Bryan asked at the end of the class.
I went "ME! ME! ME!" Oh shucks, the typical me. Of course, flashing that brilliant smile of mine all the time while saying that and after.
(in fact i went "ME! ME! ME!" yesterday on a Networking event, so loudly that i won myself a nice pair of t-shirt. great job girl)

The moment my class ended, we headed straight out for Trick or Treating. In the dark, in the cold, merely relying on the dim street lights and the lights penetrating the sheer curtains of those houses, we walked the neighborhood Trick or Treating.
So, how would you know if the houses are available for Trick or Treating? Apparently, if the lights of the houses are on (the house is bright enough), they should be participating in Trick or Treating. Well, at least giving out candies for people like us.
So, how would you collect the candies?
Uncle Joey said,

"You can use your pillow case!"
True enough, it was more than enough to contain everything. The Halloween bucket that you can buy from Walmart or Target is not too bad as well. Some Halloween feel to it, but not quite practical if you were aiming to get a whole loads of candies *shakes head*

The whole Trick or Treating went extremely well. I was skipping around happily, feeling glad that I actually decided on being a small kid than anything else because I simply can be me! How easy that was! But most of all, I was kind of starving, deprived from food since the afternoon when I last ate a piece of garlic bread and some non-filling small slice of pizza. Algonquin Dining Hall's food sucks to the core. I swear it does.

Living up to the spirit and fun of Halloween,

Hahahaha...

Loving this song more every time it shuffles into my playlist
loving it by the minute by the second

the big day was on the 29th of July. i looked back at my posts and gasped in horror at the absence about it in my archive. definitely not something that i would miss out since it was a rather big thing.
anyways, better late then never :)
arrived slightly late as i tagged along Xuan's car and was in her house making tuna cucumber sandwiches for everybody. received a warm welcome from everybody especially the host, Jack, who is going to further his studies at Scotland. well, being me, i managed to talk to everyone there, even those whom i seldom make contact with back in high school. anyways, have to ditch off that childish attitude of choosing your own cliques when the event is meant for everyone to catch up and socialize. am pretty sure some of them are still conservative as ever though.
was busy talking so i barely ate anything at the beginning and only ate the leftovers when i was done talking. need not mention how i didn't bother appearing in frames before and only did after i had completed my to-do list.

some people thinks challenge is a joke. I challenged my best friend to finish a watermelon as quickly as possible and she ended up laughing only and by the time i finished mine, looked over, she only took a bite. the toot? not sporting. cheh.

it was great to see PauLing again. that lawyer soon to be was pretty as ever! and well, we never changed much, still posing the same way when we take a picture and talk the same way, always so animated and intoxicated like.

SuQi definitely lost some weight. her face was longer and has a sharper chin now. haven't seen her and talked to her since high school. somehow some people just mia the moment we are separated. when they leave, they gone for real. and she blamed me for not keeping her update. what?

these two guys are the ones i still talk to, JoKeat and MewYin. well, i would say Jo is my best partner (was meant to write 'bitch' but felt bad) ever. though we seldom ever meet up after high school, we talk like best friends often enough to keep the friendship going. nice dude. he's funny though. selalu mau emo emo. music pun mau emo emo punya. memang ada problem la ini orang. and i still feel like a friggin counselor whenever i talk to MewYin. that guy has much to learn about :)

Jasmine was as sweet as ever. carrying around that D90 in her small stature, taking pictures of everybody, she was one candy pie :D

Rachel and Mans were still the same. was prancing around the living room talking to everybody and caught sight of them sharing moments at a private corner under the staircase, alongside PauLing and Jasmine. being the busybody, i asked for permission and joined them. managed to stole a picture with them girls :)

Joel, the shy class monitor for three consecutive years, still kept his boyish face and his interest in creating something new. our future inventor :)

WeeHan is still as buffalo as ever! Hahaha, just as loud. never changed.

ShuNing and YiXuan *:) No comment lol.

more girls *:)

more guys *:)

last but not least, smile for the camera everyone! though not everyone was there, the 5BR spirit remains.
forever and always,

love, peining

Between The Lines - Sara Bereilles

Today was the MTV World Stage 2011 at i-city, Shah Alam. Woke up at 10am then headed out to the nearest Kayu Nasi Kandar for roti canai! Have to hard core right now since I'll be leaving the country so soon and no more roti canai for me for at least two years. Skipped lunch and dinner. Yao Zhar Guai for supper. I am superb.
Oh well, there were limited food choices at the concert area and they just had to snatch away the soya bean drink that comes along with the goodie bags by Mastercard. How evil!! Anyways, this is just a short preview before I actually post more about that event. It is kind of boring though as the performance line up was pretty sucky. Plus, i-city is bullshit. That creator of this damned place should probably sell umbrellas beside a street for the rest of his life.
I am tired though. So shall sleep after this. Overall, great night, great company, great experience (in a way), met some interesting people, great time spent. Am satisfied and happy.

a well-spent day shall lead to good dreams at night

Till the next post comes,

Standing In The Rain - Jamie Scott and The Town

There's something that the more you do it, the more you lose. Its is shopping.
It was like I was back in Europe, the amount of walking was devastating. Any normal people would think my family has some crazy walking disease or probably crazy in the head.
Anyways, as the title suggests, I have been doing some crazy walking in the mall ever since I came back from Europe. We still walk a lot and of course, some splurging here and there heh
...

Sleeping with the earphones stuck in both ears is sure uncomfortable. But what other choices am I left with in order to fall asleep? Thoughts are scanning pass my head one after another at such fast pace, leaving no breaks in between. Such mental ordeal is beyond bearable. Even so, there was no 'shut down' button to turn them off or 'sleep' button to put them on hold. This is when music comes into play, serving as the perfect distraction. As a song that fits my thoughts perfectly shuffles into the playlist, emotions come streaming in, filling up the hollowness within. When words fail, music comes into place and bring out every possible emotion left unsaid, hidden beneath that despicable facade and feigned smile. No more going through the tough times alone. Thank you for the music, thank you for being there for me, thank you for always hearing me out, thank you for giving me the best advice, thank you for making me feel belonged and thank you for soothing my troubled heart.

When a girl says 'I love you', always tell her 'I love you more'.
That'll do. That will be more than enough.

Signing out,

maliciously pleasurable.

This month has been a naughty one for me. I admite I deserve some spanking in the buttocks.
Highlands getaway was a complete blast. Not to mention some creepy encounter in the midst of all the fun. Some alcohol can really kickstart something. Well, it at least, shed some new light into this relationship, giving new hope and insight. Something I wouldn't forget.
Well, just some little things that you do, are enough, more than enough, to make me all mushy inside. You give me butterflies with the loving care. Gentle, as much as you can pick me up with one hand with much ease. Oh how strong you can be, yet how soft you are around me, so as to make sure you don't bruise me with one touch
.

The adventure behind a normal date. The ropes, the nets, the flying, the bruises. I would say, not as extreme as I thought it would be, but just sufficient to satisfy my wild heart for extreme sports. Something close to my nature, a monkey in heart.

Here's to something I cherish.
Something to keep nightmares away.

Toodleloo~

Tonight, I'm walking alone.
Because I know tomorrow, I won't be.

Living the Irish spirits.

It was the St. Patrick's day on Thursday. Hence, the American Eagle club organized a party for this special festival, held at HELP Residence.

The day started earlier than usual for me. Woke up without an alarm at 10. Unusual. Anyways, the event was great basically. Loved the couple Polo-T Amanda and Derrick were wearing. Mmmm...
At one point of the event though, I felt quite left out, and lonely.
Food was rather okay. Surprisingly, I got lucky and won lucky draw again. It was scented candles this time round. I was ecstatic. Really. Since young, I somehow don't possess the necessary luck to be winning lucky draws or anything similar to the aforementioned. Not insinuating how I hate not being chosen all the time, but its just not my luck. Nevertheless, lady luck seems to like me better these past few years. Is it safe to say now that I am in luck?
So, as the event comes close to the end, the frenzy of playing with the glitters on the table started. Plus ballooning all over. I guess I was too attractive that I had to be the victim of so many people. Teck Yan chased me around the hall just to sprinkle me with this hand full of glitters while I was busy running away from him with a balloon tied to my wrist. Funny much. Was pretty much making use of my reflex and my speed to move my short legs cause Tecky had damn long legs. He's way taller than me man.
Dude!! 7 years knowing you and you're still so evil to me every time we see each other!
Still, in the end, I got it bad, be it from Teck Yan or from Kent or anyone else. I got it real bad. Ended up shining like a total freak. Heck, I was literally glowing! Shinier than Edward Cullen. Hands down.
(okay I don't think anyone likes the rate I am going through things like flashing slide shows. Am just planning to write down what I think its memorable)
After the event, I was pretty hyper. Really. To the extent that someone actually tied a balloon to my green ribbon at my pony tail and I gladly left it there. Walked around with a balloon floating on mid air from the back of my head. Need not say the hysterical and endless laughter. Unfortunately, it flew away when I got out of the building. Am still grieving over the lost. It was tragic. A massive one.

Went to The Hills opposite of Wisma HELP for a drink. Alcohol drink. Well, I wasn't so much into the mood of drinking so I did not order anything, instead, took sips from everyone's. Just to have a taste. Somewhere through the middle, I got emotional again. Michelle lent me her shoulder and heck it was embarrassing. Downed the last few bits of the alcohol hoping they will take effect, following my crappy mood then. Yet nothing happened.

.

Crashed Jia Lynn's place for the night. It was really fun. Every single bit of it. From playing cards, to wii, to facetime with CK, to playing with the rabbit doll, to pillow talk, to camwhoring, to playing the piano, to failing at attempts to record my playing, to heart-to-heart talk with Amanda, to liking my pj so much, to applying lotion, to cracking jokes and laughing our asses off at four o'clock in the morning, to preparing for bed, to fighting for places to sleep, to falling asleep at five something in the morning, to waking up to the biological clock at 9.30am, to waking everyone else up, to trying to pull lazy bum Amanda out of bed, to sending Vanesse off to the LRT station, to coming back and continue disturbing Amanda till she gets up, to watching morning programs on tv, to catatonic moments, to going out for dim sum as brunch, to coming back home from the tiring day, to feeling all like a high school girl once again, to feeling contended, to thinking I can finally rest in peace? (awkward silence) *facepalm*

When you wake up in the morning, its sunshine all over again. Hello, life.

It was full moon today
Should I turn into a full-grown vamp
Leave you a mark and make you mine for eternity
