Sigh.

Listening to : First Love by Utada Hikaru

Funny or not, I am one of the people to find Accounts dreadful. Somehow, I feel that Accounts is just not my forte unlike how Jeremy Lee can handle it like a piece of cake. Sometimes I just think that I have to work extremely hard for better performance in Accounts. Sigh.

It was a depressing, overcast Saturday morning. Thick haze overshadowed my feelings. Myriad thoughts flashed through my Accounts-filled mind. 'What if I did not do well or even worse than the last time? My mum will be will extremely disappointed in me.' I whispered to myself so softly that those words are inaudible even to my own ears. Sometimes I wonder why did I took up Accounts in the first place.

Since Thursday, I was working my life off, cracking head, just to put a real effort to understand Accounts for this morning's exam. Flipping through all the papers, reading thoroughly, absorbing workings like a sponge hoping all could fit in just in time before the exam.

I think all my hard works have paid off. My accounts have balanced and I don't seemed to have any trouble figuring out the workings and answers for each questions. At first, I thought I really was going to flunk this exam, but when I took a glance at those questions I dread to look at, I felt the adrenaline rush through my veins and before I realised what was going on, my fingers were firm on the blue pen I was using and was writing figures and letters at a great speed. My hands were quick, flipping through papers. My eyes were gliding from left to right so fast that I myself felt a little dizzy from the vigorous taking in of figures.

I flinched abruptly whenever I discovered a mistake. Guess that was an act to show how silly I was to make that kind of mistakes. When I turned to my right to look at Mark, he was too, paying full concentration on the questions and making little noises occasionally which were enough for me to know what he was thinking. Sigh. I'm not the only one who got stressed out for this Accounts Exam. :D

Time flies so fast that it felt like lightning strike. By the time you see what's happening and feeling comfortable with the things happening around you, its gone with the wind and never turning back again, simply leaving fading memories with you which replays over and over again for a short period of time and then completely deleted from your memory. So grasp and treasure every moment in life so not to regret it in the nearest future. :)

Cambodia II ( Angkor Thom )

After letting the happenings of this trip sink for some time, its time to surface it again. To be able to enjoy what has really left for us in Angkor Wat, one must really love real rock climbing besides being physically fit and has a good health condition. Know why? The ancient stairs are steep, excruciatingly steep. However, its still nothing compared to the stairs leading up to the peak of Wu Yi Mountain in Fu Jian, China. :D

Wooden stairs for beginners.

IMG_6225

Rock stairs for adventurous and experienced people. ;D

IMG_6235

I climbed it obviously. Since I was there, why not enjoy everything which was laid out to me? Took a picture as memory after climbing the rock stair. Mind you, this is not the only steep rock stair in Angkor Thom.

IMG_6238

Back to the elephant terrace. You have to take a look at the staggering carvings on the rocks which are stacked up systematically during the ancient times. The way they handle the rocks remain unfathomable like how ancient Egyptians built the wondrous pyramids in Egypt. Without technologies like the crane, how can they possibly lift and stack the gigantic stone structures?

IMG_6252

IMG_6253

Once again, I conquered yet another steep tower...

Tips : For people who are petrified of height, DO NOT look down when you are climbing and DO NOT stand so close to the edge to look down upon reaching the top. Your knees will wobble vigorously. :) If you want to make fun of these kind of people, this is the greatest opportunity. * evil laughs *

IMG_6279

After all the climbing chaos, its time to head to a place where one of the top rated action scenes were taken place few years back * drum roll * -----> Tomb Raider Cambodia Angkor Wat scene! Ha! It was the big, archaic tree which left a grave effect on the ancient temple which impeded us from wondering whether was the scene taken in the studio or was it really taken in Angkor Wat, Cambodia.

When I set eyes on the entire place, engulfing the condition on how the archaic trees easily blend into the building structures, I was dumbfounded. My jaw dropped to my collarbone, my eyes wide open as if I saw ghost, it was just astounding. Some of the trees are big and heavy enough to crush the strong structures down!

IMG_6319

IMG_6327

IMG_6331

Before proceeding to the famous tree, take a glimpse of the last Buddha face left in the entire temple.

Note : At a certain period, the king of Angkor decided to change the country's religion from Buddhist to Hindu so he made craftsmen scrape off all of the Buddha faces replacing them with the Hindu Gods. ;D

Proudly present the so called Tomb Raider tree!

Took it just in time when the sun peeked out from the clouds.

Otherwise it'll be like this... :)

Love Expressed.

Music is not comprised plainly of melodious rhythm

Yet a brilliant classic piece is made up of dulcet tune

Like any other great arts or prominent poems of the century

Omnipotence of music creates

Vulnerability in ones psych and soul

Exerting a stupendous effect in ones life, and

Sparks up the sincerity of the creator

To whom the  masterpieces were dedicated to

Or, to express the composer's unconditional love for all

Regardless of  their physical condition or background with

"Yes, I love you" embedded within the notes of affection

P.S. : Look at the first letter of each line. :)

Dedicated to his beloved seven year old daughter, Sarah and to all music lovers in the world, its Jon Schmidt with Love Story Meets Viva la Vida. Enjoy!

Currently listening to I Do Not Hook Up by Kelly Clarkson

00-59

During the nerve-wracking examination period, I wished this day will never come. I prayed hard for time to freeze at that moment so I would not need to sit for anymore exams. That would just be something I craved for albeit the fact that I knew deep down, it will never break the bubbles of impossibilities.

***

It was Saturday morning. After I went through an agonising three weeks enduring the perplexing questions thrown to us by the merciless teachers, its time for a break and indulge myself with something new.

My godfather came down to KL from JB to visit my family and I. And guess what? He bought me a new cell phone which is Nokia 5130 Music Xpress! Check this out...

nokia-5130-xpressmusic

Although its not the most expensive phone or the latest iphone, but I am overwhelmed by the gratefulness in me. Thank you godfather.

Besides that gorgeous phone, I received another sporty yet elegant kind of watch as a present from my godfather. Its one of the limited edition ARBUTUS watch and it probably is the most expensive and nicest watch I've ever worn on my bony wrist. It looks perfect. I adore it a lot. Thank you again.

Till now, I am feeling rather satisfied with my results. Not that I did better than what I achieved the last time, but I felt I got the results I wanted and expected. Credits to Mei Yi, Pau Ling and those who helped me out during the torturing period again. I feel really grateful. Really. Now I have to keep my fingers crossed for the results coming up tomorrow and in the future but that will be after the holidays...

Is it true what people say nature makes you think and appreciate? Why can't humans stop upsetting mother nature?

Maybe its because there's nothing left for us to appreciate in this world...

XOXO

Let Go. Skip Forward.

It felt like ages since exam started. My life has been so hectic this year that when Yi Xuan approached me today to ask me about how many books have I read this year, my honest answer was 1 ( The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd ).

Exam was tough. Not to speak about the study subjects but I honestly do not think I stand a chance in getting an A for any of those. Not in the slightest. Perhaps the slightest exists...

Insanity struck Pn. Cheong. Biology was crazy. It was "brain-crackingly" tough. Things that we have never seen in our miserable life appeared in that paper. " I took some of the questions from my book." " No tips will be given during SPM. This is only for your own good." Excuse me but who gives a damn about what's in your book and why are the questions so OUT OF THE BOX? No offence but Biology was devastating.

I totally screwed Physics Paper 3. Don't ask me how and why because I knew I screwed up the whole thing. Nevertheless, thought of failing Physics never strike me. The worst might be a C. * Confidence in myself *

To be frank, I thought Chemistry was okay. In fact, I think I might be able to get better result for it compared to the other science subjects. I was lucky actually and credits to Mei Yi & Pau Ling for making me study all the possibilities experiment at the very last minute before I entered the exam hall. Thanks again.

The others were okay. So conclusion, I'm just glad that its over but bear in mind, the worst is yet to come... I know I'm being such a killjoy here but it is TRUE!

American Idol Update

On On May 20, 2009, Kris Allen was crowned the winner of eighth season of American Idol, becoming the first contestant with the status 'married' to claim the prestigious title in the reality show.

As for my whole time favourite contestant of the season - Danny Gokey, Idol Season 8 second-runner up, he will still be one with the best sexiest voice ever existed in the show and the soul-singer.

Idol Season 8 first-runner up, Adam Lambert has the craziest vocal range we have in the century. Standing ovation for every performance and even from Simon Cowell.

Great job to all. Deep down we know all of them are the Champions and are making their presence in the music industry significant with their humble attitudes. Way to go! BEST SEASON OF ALL!

Random update of me : Going to have movie marathon very soon...

Life is like a swing. Suddenly, you find yourself in the peak of your life when lights dimmed around you.

5 Bunga Raya Outing / Dinner

Currently listening to **** You by Lily Allen

It was during the holidays ( 18th March, 2009 ) when we went to that outing. Therefore, this is obviously a superb delayed post.

At first, we were supposed to have our dinner / bonding / photography session at Marche - The Curve. Somehow, somebody changed the destination to Vivo - still The Curve.

We were chatting while laughing at each other's jokes when Shu Ning and Joel the lovebirds walked in the restaurant together! *Gasp* A normal reaction came from everyone as expected. We wooed them both and guess what? I saw Joel blushing like he has never blushed before! HA!

It was fun taking pictures and catching up with those whom I have not talked to that often in the past year. This outing has definitely made itself worthwhile by bringing the so called separated 4 Bunga Raya students into a united 5 Bunga Raya class! Cheers...

We even took the opportunity to celebrate Mei Yi's birthday and even bought a cake for her but I don't think anyone ate the cake. Someone brought it home though. Ordered Chicken Lasagna!

Outing ends at 9.30pm with the photo-taking session at the fountain in the mall.

Harmony Evelyn

Music + Passion = Bliss

It feels so good to have my fingers run wild

On the black and white keys of the piano again.

Harmony of the delicacies of the Classical

Indulges and drown my thoughts once again.

The master piece of Debussy's

Picked up my soul from the hustle bustles of life.

A sad scenario of many claiming

" I enjoy music more than anything in life "

Yet oblivious of the real definition of music to others

Who interpret music literature in a whole new way.

No offence but if given a choice between Yiruma - River Flows in You and Chopin - Fantasie Impromptu, many would prefer Yiruma's. No doubt about it.

Nostalgic Evelyn

Librarian 2009

Sometimes, when I contemplate about things, things about librarians hovered in my little mind.

I still feel that our B.O.Ds are not working together as one and librarians are so divided. Not only that, I think Pn. Zaini is trying too hard to take control of everything. Sometimes she did not realise that she is only the teacher adviser of librarians and is supposed to give advise and let the librarians or event committee do the rest.

Probates are a disappointment. Their performances seems to be deteriorating these years. Not to brag that my year was good but we greeted all our seniors cheerfully and not forcefully. Guess people now are getting way to casual and not so civilised.

Overall, I'm satisfied with Mr. President - Kow Kay Jun and Ms. Vice President - Gloria Chan who were doing a great job in keeping the club going and uniting everyone. Great Job.

As for me, I think I slack a lot in this club. Blame me all you want. I'll try to keep up the pace. :D
