Dota Theme Songs

Oh no, I don't play Dota. This time, I have no choice but to get stuck in between people who do, people like my brother and his friends.
Right now, we are just waiting for Cheng Kang to get off work so that he can treat us to some nice Froyo and off we go to dinner before going to play basketball.
For some of you who don't already know, I am now in Des Moines at my brother's place for the winter break
.

13th Jan, 2012

Approximately 11.50am...

I stepped down the Greyhound bus as I arrived at the bus station at downtown Des Moines. Spent the last few days in Chicago, IL touring around that windy city. Oh I can tell you the experience was so diverse and intriguing, frustrating at the same time. Updates coming your way as soon as I get hold of the pictures that I have taken.
I was literally exhausted after the last few rather hectic days in Minneapolis, extreme foot walking around downtown Chicago for five consecutive days and dreadfully long bus rides before arriving at this so called cornfield city :D
Thinking that I would be able to drop dead on the bed and rest for the night and the rest of the day of next, I was wrong. I was driven out to Walmart with the guys to get groceries and then back to brother's second home to hang out with the guys. No doubt that they are really fun to hang out with after a week chillin' with them doing things, but I was desperate for some adequate rest.
That was not all. Despite going to bed at about 3.30am, I had to wake up early in the morning because we were all heading out to Seven Oaks near Ames to ski! Rather thrilled with that idea but still doubting my body's capacity for energy drainage.
Skiing seems like a three year once thing to me. So periodical. The first time I was introduced to this sport was when I was in a tour in Korea. Second was when I was in Japan, with my host family and those four young girls. Now, the third, was with my brother and his friends.
They were rather fascinated about the zig zag ski pattern and were trying to master it. Well, I was just testing the waters again after so long and my first slide down the steep slope was definitely exhilarating. Oh the adrenaline rush was incredible! After a while, I was just sliding down the slope without wanting to try otherwise, afraid that I might be injured.
Seeing some small kids being able to do so much better than I, gave me the motivation to want to try the zig zag pattern. After the first try, I was starting to get it and was ecstatic!
As night falls, I decided to do ski one last time before switching to learning snowboarding. While I was sliding down the hill... *WHAM* I fell so hard my chest hurt like crazy. For a moment, I felt like I tergegar my brain and was too dizzy to do anything. All I did was kneeling down on the snow blanket and stare at the ground. I was crouching like a statue for almost a minute with my fist, pressed firm against my chest as if to stop the agony.
From a distance, I heard someone calling out to me, those going up the cable, "Hey miss, you alright?"
"Yeah I am. No worries."
"You sure? You don't look fine."
"Yes I am fine. I'm fine."
When I finally looked up, I saw all my ski equipments scattered all over the place. Tried to recall the fall but all I could remember was me falling facedown and the impact was great.
As I am typing this, my chest still hurts like a bitch when I press slightly hard on it. Still does when I sneeze. Bad. Bad
,

Snowboarding was yet another short episode of this outing. Was hard.
Started at bunny hill and after twice sliding down halfway the slope, I went on to the steep hills.
I guess I could slowly slide down by doing it horizontally, but I certainly do not know how to control the direction I am heading to. Kept on falling down it pisses me off. Sore butt after the whole thing and especially my left wrist, which I kept on using to support my body weight when I fall.
Overall was fun. Enjoyed it. The next time I go I will do snowboarding.
Did I mention?
Girls who snowboard are smokin' hot! Oh nooo... Too sexy :P
.

The next three days was hurting all over. No doubt. Yet, no regrets *:)

great success comes with great determination

High Falls Gorge & Lake Placid.

Black or White by Michael Jackson

Credits to ISS Plattsburgh for organizing trips for international students, I get to explore more of Plattsburgh and the places around this beautiful town.
Last Saturday (Sept 30th), I joined this trip that brings us up to High Falls Gorge of the Adirondack Mountains at Wilmington. Not quite expensive for such a beautiful scenic place, it cost $15 per person. The scenery along the way there, at the place itself and back are just captivating. My heart skipped beats when I see the beautiful and colorful trees filled the surface of the mountains. Almost every single angle you see, even along the road, the trees were so colorful. There were the yellow, orange, red, green and all the transitions between those colors. The whole place was filled with this calm, relaxed and refreshing ambience. Suddenly, I feel like I can just lie down on the grass and fall asleep just like that.

The waterfall was amazing and magical. Seeing how it slowly develops and create naturally perfect holes like they were drilled were just amazing. I even have chills thinking about it. Mind blown.

Since the tracks at the waterfall was really short, Jaafar, one of the ISS staff and one of the drivers who drove us up, decided to bring us to a nearby village, Lake Placid. This was where the Winter Olympics used to take place at.

The shops along the road was really unique, each having its own design. Some even look like they were fake or like a painting. I really like those shops around. The sight of these shops actually reminded me of those in Amsterdam (Edem and Volendam specifically) and makes me wonder 'why can't Malaysia have special designed shops like those?' #fail

The lake was so lovely and romantic. I love it to the core of my bones.

Dropped by few shops as well including some random apparel shops, shoe shops, souvenir shops, hat shops and also one of the franchise for GAP. Bought a beautiful pink hoodie from there. I love it so much its so comfy and fluffy!! *snuggles snuggles snuggles* :D

Long due and finally, x

maliciously pleasurable.

This month has been a naughty one for me. I admite I deserve some spanking in the buttocks.
Highlands getaway was a complete blast. Not to mention some creepy encounter in the midst of all the fun. Some alcohol can really kickstart something. Well, it at least, shed some new light into this relationship, giving new hope and insight. Something I wouldn't forget.
Well, just some little things that you do, are enough, more than enough, to make me all mushy inside. You give me butterflies with the loving care. Gentle, as much as you can pick me up with one hand with much ease. Oh how strong you can be, yet how soft you are around me, so as to make sure you don't bruise me with one touch
.

The adventure behind a normal date. The ropes, the nets, the flying, the bruises. I would say, not as extreme as I thought it would be, but just sufficient to satisfy my wild heart for extreme sports. Something close to my nature, a monkey in heart.

Here's to something I cherish.
Something to keep nightmares away.

Toodleloo~

Tonight, I'm walking alone.
Because I know tomorrow, I won't be.

The road back home.

American Honey – Lady Antebellum

Okay. My maternal grandparents’ home is at Paloh, Johore. It is truly a small town that barely anyone is well aware of the existence is this place. Unless you take the train from anywhere in the Semenanjung Malaysian down through Johore to Singapore, you won’t know this place called Paloh. However, the government has changed the route of the train so that it will not stop at Paloh since two years ago. So, this place is so hidden that you have to turn in through a look-alike deserted junction and travel about 30km down the curvy road with countless bends and sharp corners to actually reach it.
Of course, along the way, the oil palm plantation and the rubber tree plantation was all you can see. It certainly cannot be gainsaid that the mere scenery of the pale blue sky with white fluffy-looking clouds and the sea of plantation is something of a different yet unique flavor compared to the panoramic view of the city. You might find that I love to stare at the open space which preferably be - the sky. Well, this is because I find peace and serenity in it. Somehow I feel that the sky renders the tranquil vibe that I could not find in any other things on Earth.
Therefore, the sky – my great escape
.

We stopped there for a night before heading down to Singapore the next day.
At Singapore, we visited my grandaunt, who was very sick in the Singapore General Hospital. She was down with the last stage of cancer and did not have much time left. My heart felt like it was squeezed the whole time I was there. Though she was still able to joke around about things, the idea of her having to receive injection of morphine every hour is plain barbaric. Before leaving the hospital, I took a last glance at her pale face, thinking, this will most probably be my last time seeing her.
Reminiscing how she used to laugh joyously and play with my siblings and I when we were young, I sucked back my tears with much effort. Knowing I will miss her, I still wish she will leave us soon to put an end to her sufferings. Sigh, this is life, the cycle that will never end.

P/S : Could it be that I miss you too much that it seemed to me as if you appear in all of my dreams?

Tonight was a cloudless night
Though there were countless stars in the dark sky
Yet there was one, which shone so brilliantly compared to the dim ones surrounding it
I thought, that was you, the special one, the shining star in my heart

Doesn't Everybody Want to Fall in Love - Kristinia Debarge

I haven't been blogging frequently like how I did last month and the previous month. Well, I have concrete reason for this slack attitude. Mainly was because I have lost the momentum for blogging. But the passion remains though. :) So at least the spirit which is the most important thing in doing something hasn't been gone. Just so you know, I am quite busy with stuffs too. Therefore making this post hibernate as draft for too long, forever perhaps? :/
.
Last Thursday was my English second round of presentation. Well, since I was already prepared, I was the first to go out. Surprisingly, only Loh and I were prepared for it. The others... got scolding. Mr. Marzuki was way too pissed. He went on and on and even said the 'i' word. Well, I didn't expect that. What surprises me more is that he actually smokes. Well, I guess nothing can be perfect in this world and my impression towards him dropped a little inevitably. Sarah said she smell tobacco occasionally when he enters the class but all I could smell was that stinky sweat odor which evokes high school PJK memories every time he enters the class panting, gasping for air. Those days~ (:

Sunday was the trip to Sg. Tengi specially organized for the Malaysian Studies project. Its 30% yo! To be frank, I believe we could actually produce a much quality and cheap trip to somewhere else nearer like prolly the cultural centre in Kuala Lumpur. It is much more rich regardless of information, demonstration or whatsoever compared to what we have seen back there in Sg. Tengi. Sorry to say that but my group leader sort of insisted on that trip that she used the same old reason of having a successful trip when she followed that high school trip few years ago. No doubt she put lots of effort in getting the date, place booked and everything else well organized, but the price is a pain. Seriously. Even though all the group members had to come up with RM100 per person and even with the money participants, which is way too hard to gather had to pay - RM85, no way that the sky high cost could be completely covered. I guess its too bad for us that we have to pay for another Godknowshowmuch money to cover back the cost. Don't you think that it is a little foolish for us to have to pay so much just for the marks which even we can't guarantee that it will go any higher also? Sometimes being ambitious may be a good thing where the goals set will set us to strive harder and keep us motivated throughout but being too ambitious also in the meanwhile, not really a good sign. Well, I guess when you set to do something, it is impossible that you can please everyone with that decision you made as what gay celebrity, Adam Lambert said. So, the weather there was scorching hot, sun burning right through our skin, on the verge of tearing them apart. On the way home however, heavy rain poured down, moistening the bitumen road while everyone in the bus doze off into deep sleep, allowing the air-conditioner in the bus to cool down our previously sweaty bodies. It was not till late evening when we finally were back to HELP. Dislike the phenomenon we saw at the palm oil factory where clouds of smog gush out the oversize chimney and also the part where their sprayed dirty oil on us. Well, having deer poops stuck underneath my shoe is inevitable where this led me to brushing and cleaning right after reaching home in the rain. Unseen dirt and grease made my body felt sticky and greasy plus the amount of dried sweat released. I was filthy. Practically bathed twice as I not only took twice the amount of time I used to when I bathe, but also do the bath routine twice for everything. So, I should be sparkling all the way by the end of the night eh? By the way, thank you so much, Chong De for giving up time and money to support this trip! Much appreciated. (:

Ms. Kalpana, my computer lecturer has gone back to India, leaving us behind with two other new lecturer which we have met one of them on Monday. She was rather less boring and faster in pace when teaching compared to our former lecturer, which is a good thing still. (: No idea how our lecturer for tutorial will be but will soon disclose on Thursday itself after the many upcoming presentations by everyone else. Keep the fingers crossed!
.
Psychology group assignment's due date is this Friday. Yet, my group is still procrastinating while everyone is busy with the many quizzes and other assignments. As Mr. Marzuki said, we have to learn to prioritize, turned out to be quite true. Well, it had to since he is almost half a century old already. No offence but seriously. He has to be somehow wiser and more accurate in things he says. Ain't that right? :D Stats quiz is on this Wednesday and I am not ready yet. Can't really grasp the idea so I guess today is going to be a long long day. Dread it and can't wait. Mixed feelings. -.-

Sometimes when I say “I’m okay”, I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight, and say, “I know you’re not.”

Quit telling me that you love me
Because I already know that you do

Toodles~ (:
Love, eve

Crack.

I haven't been eating lunch lately. Feeling hungry but nothing to eat. Mummy is out most of the time. Leaving three guinea pigs at home. Starving. Coughing. What else? Homework
.
Life now is practically about finishing holiday homework and packing before taking a sweet escape from this pathetic and dull place for a short period. I am so in love with Japan's visa. It is not only special. It has your picture in it! Aha. Idiot. I feel like i am from a confined world of my own and has been suffering from autism. And F.Y.I., i am not. I FEEL like one.
I am an egg. So fragile that you just have to apply a very small force on it to crack it. Break it. Everything seem like they are going to crash down on me. And sometimes my feelings and thoughts are so extra humongous that they are going to force my lungs outwards and burst my lungs in to pieces like a big balloon explosion.

Right. Cut all the pathetic thoughts. I took a one-day trip down to Malacca along with my family last Sunday. And it was not boring as i expected like the last trip to Malacca. It came out to be full of surprises especially in the afternoon. We were greeted by a warm and radiant smile from my grandmother. In to the spacious house we went. My sister, brother and i specially enjoyed the echoes produced in the house even by a small knock on the stool. We joked that it will be impossible for one to tell secret in this house.
I did some hammering and gluing with daddy as my grandmother's cupboard is breaking apart very soon if not ' rescued'. I was actually acting like a professional beside daddy albeit he was the one who did most of the things
.
The clock strucks 12.30pm. Stomach growling. Wolfs are out for lunch!
Climbed into the car and off we went. First stop, a vegetatrian restaurant which was occupied by a wedding function. Disappointed. Proceeded to the next stop. Another vegetarian restaurant fully packed. Have to wait for quite a while. Frustrated. Went to Mahkota Parade. Looked for information counter when granny insisted that there is a vegetarian restaurant there. Ran up and down the mall looking for a right restaurant like blind chicken with sis. Granny is a vegetarian and we have no choice but to conform to a strict choice of food. Had no idea what is the restaurant name as granny did not state. Came by Le Garden and granny pointed at it and said this is it profusely.
' I remember its surname is Lee one! I remember! '
Coolest lunch in years in Malacca with granny. Get to eat meat while granny eat vegetarian servings. How rare. Totally once in a blue moon you get that great treat. Ate an extremely delicious plate of Chow Kuey Tiao and drank a cup of ice lemon tea. That meal was not the peak of everything. After lunch
,
We went down to McDonalds for ice-cream! It was quite a long walk from where we had our satisfying, stomach-filling lunch. And surprisingly, granny was willing to walk all the way there! Way to go granny!
6 cups of chocolate sundae. One for each INCLUDING GRANNY! What was even surprising was granny ate faster than me! Headed home shortly after that and goodbye for the day. :)
Cheers to this rare but extraordinary day!

Bad news : One of my host redrew so i'm left stranded for 3 weeks with the same host. T.T

Trip to Malacca

I was hoping to have a Bored-to-Death holiday when my mom told me that we are going back to Malacca to visit my grandmother. At the moment i was stoned completely.

It turned out quite interesting. We continued with our very own ' ice-cream tradition ' . We will walk to the nearest petrol station when the furnace like sun hung high up in the sky to buy ice-cream! Then we will stroll our way back home enjoying the melting ice-cream. My mom's same old comment will be," Crazy ah? Hot sun still go out." Nothing can change our ' tradition ', we went out anyway.

Maybe it is because of holidays, you can see ' jams ' everywhere. Even the small roads of Malacca, i benefited anyway. I stand a chance to take pictures at places i never got a chance to take. Saw something real contrasting and took a quick picture of the old Methodist Church.
One very old building standing beside a very new building..
Convert to CIMB Bank.. Mercedes Showroom..

We came back yesterday and stopped by SS2 Mcdonalds for Sundae Cone as it was only 50 cents every 1st day of the month nationwide.
Back to serious topic... look at the picture below.. do they look sexy?

In Malacca..

When we were walking with my sister's host parents, we saw strange things... Tour guides pointing at the 1673 until the glass cracked..Same to the english version..Give peace a chance?Very peaceful...
Swallow nesting in hotel? Rare sight..

My sister's host parents..

My sister's host parents came to visit her few days before Chinese New Year. Guess what he bought for me? A grammar dictionary and a computer dictionary ( some kind of translate dictionary )Kanji and Hiragana dictionary..

And of course we brought him around KL and also my hometown - Malacca. They had fun and i can say that they are adorable and a smiley couple. They went back to Japan on New Year's Eve though so they don't get to celebrate CNY in Malaysia. In a restoran in Malacca..In St. John's hill..

In the airport... farewell~~

The day before my birthday...

On Sunday, i actually did almost everything that i don't want and don't like to do...

Early in the morning i have to wake up early and accompany my dad to HELP University College for the actuary science talk and it last the whole morning. After lunch, i have to follow my parents and grandparents to Bentong to visit my not-so-close-relatives.

I was bored to death there then my mum asked me to pluck groundnuts. I was like " Huh? groundnuts?" So i went there unwillingly to deal with all the muds covering the groundnuts. Then i finally have my own time reading my storybooks.

About 6.30pm, we went out for dinner and they were all very noisy. They were chit-chatting, drinking beer, karaoke, doing the yum-seng thing. OMG!! At the moment i just can't stand the noise and cover my ear. It was the first time i have been into an enclosed area that is so noisy.

Then here comes the worries. They asked my dad to drink brandy and i knew my dad is not a good drinker and i began to worry of my dad because he will be the one driving us home later. So i ask him not to drink but the kind of force him to drink so i can't help him either. If i'm not underage, i will definately drink for my dad even though it taste awful.

So some of the dishes were nicely decorated and one of them with a pig's head on it. Oh ya, the fruits were delicious.

Penang!!

Actually its not a big deal going to Penang because i have been there before... but its a big deal when i get to swim!! It has been a long time since i last swim.. two years plus i think...

I MISS SWIMMING SO MUCH!!

After swimming...

One thing incredible... i ate 'chow kuey tiao' every meal without fail... that was because Penang's one are more delicious than KL's but of all i find only the second last one i ate was nice... What to do? That's life...~~

And one thing about Ipoh... you can't afford to miss the 'nga choi gai'... it's so delicious and everytime i go Ipoh i will surely go for it... to me...
NO NGA CHOI GAI, NEVER BEEN TO IPOH!!

Went to Queensbay mall... saw the upside down christmas tree...
This is the one...
That guy's from China... doing the 'lai tong'...

In Penang...
NO TAU SAR BENG, NEVER BEEN TO PENANG!!

Overall it was a cool trip... thanks to the swimming pool...

Satisfied~~
Just woke up... eating 'tau sar beng'... drinking milo also...

Listening to Tattoo by Jordin Sparks...

Palace of the GOLDEN HORSES!!!

That place is pretty cool, like a palace... but imagine a person creating a place like that, how old you think he is? For me, i think he will be an old man like our late Tan Sri Dato' Lim Goh Tong but he is NOT!!! My dad says he is only around his 50's... Well that shocked me...

I thought and thought and finally came out with a conclusion.... as long as you have money, you can make things out in such a young age.... ( that's what i think, correct me if i was wrong ) but this exclude our late Tan Sri Dato' Lim Goh Tong of course...

Talking about late Tan Sri Dato' Lim Goh Tong, sorry to say but his grandsons are real nerds, geeks maybe... They could be rich in their pockets but not their looks... hahaha... sorry but i can't help it...

By the way, back into my topic... I actually went to have a high tea and a buffet dinner in that place... its kind of cool actually, i've got the feeling of eating in a palace!!! Don't you think its great? But its expensive eating there.. you know... Its kind of 'class' though...

Here are some pictures took there..

Look at it... so great... If i were to live here... hehee...The food.... delicious... * slurp *Coffee set...Yummy, looks good, taste good too...Aww~~ sweet..

Nasional Science Centre!!

So, again, its was a cool trip, at least cooler and funner than the tanjung sepat one...

Oh ya, i missed something about the kite flying at the beach... sorry... It was fun, cool, interesting, exhausting etc. It was my first time flying a kite!!! Cool eh? I felt like i am such a fragile city girl... However, i am not satisfied. Do you know why? It is because my kite couldn't fly by itself even for 10 seconds!!!

Okay, i think i need to stop humiliating myself.. back to the science centre trip... its was cool you know... for those who did not go, i really feel sorry for you all... hehehe...

Nothing much actually, only 1 complain.... I DON'T LIKE THE CAVE!!! IT IS MADE OF A KIND OF VERY SOFT RUBBER WHICH I DON'T LIKE... EWW..~~

Okay, controling my temper, my ewwness lol...Reunited...Yi xuan following my style of taking pictures...

Yuenhee got lost in the vanished world and now she's wondering which way to go to find her way out...WOO!!! So many version of me...Bzz... i got electric shock?
